5) Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

An advice line nurse
The CHSS Advice Line staff are trained nurses and can answer most questions which are stroke related. They also have access to information across Scotland.

The CHSS Volunteer Stroke Service offers community support, especially for people with speech and communication problems. Some small local groups are Affiliated Stroke Groups with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland which helps by setting up groups and assisting with insurance and training for group leaders and members.

CHSS Stroke Nurses are available in some health board areas and can offer individual advice and support in your home or by telephone. The CHSS Young Stroke Support Worker is based in Lanarkshire for younger people and their carers affected by stroke.
