- Do it yourself – there are DIY will packs available to buy. However there may be legal issues you are not aware of which could affect the will at a later date
- Solicitor – the safest way to ensure your will is fully legal and all your wishes have been taken into account
- Online – there are now online wills available but you should check thoroughly what is being offered
- Voluntary Organisations – such as Citizens Advice or Age UK will advise you and assist in making your will
In general the more complex your own situation such as owning businesses, property abroad, children from several previous relationships or co-habiting while still being married to a former partner the more likely you are to need legal help to make your will.
