Ask to see a copy of the care homes policy or residents agreement and read it carefully. There may be information on what would happenĀ if a person required hospital admission or how long before they would expect you to vacate the room if no longer required. It should include what they will provide, what it will cost, your consumer rights, and the complaints procedure. You can also ask to see the most recent inspection report fromĀ the Care Inspectorate which is evidence they are meeting the national standards.
